Happy New Year and all that.
Steampunk Novel. I did a little typing on this while staying at my mom’s house, just a few hundred words or so, but it felt good to spend even a little time on it. I plan on digging back in this year to finally complete a draft.
Shared-World Novella and The Satellite Dish. Nothing new to report.
Ko-Fi and Patreon. I reprinted a free-to-read book review from the archives on Ko-fi, 2012’s Bones Are Forever by Kathy Reichs. And there’s another on the Generations Geek page, L. M. Graziano and M. S. A. Graziano’s 2008 novel Cretaceous Dawn. I didn’t post anything new on Patreon, however. Getting that into my rotation is definitely on the 2020 to-do list.
Editing/Work for Hire. I turned in the copyedit of Star Trek: More Beautiful Than Death, a previously shelved Kelvin timeline tie-in, by David Mack. I completed a proofread on two projects for an indie author, a short story and a novella. There’s a long way to go, but I got some writing done on a forthcoming Star Trek Adventures role-playing supplement; I’m not at liberty to say more than that.
Final Thoughts. Good riddance to 2019, and here’s hoping the sun breaks through the clouds in 2020.
